Hong Kong Folk Club (香港友Folk) is a music community dedicated to promoting Folk Music that once flourished widely in Hong Kong. The Club thrives to become the central point of contact amongst folk groups, active now or in the past. That includes groups locally and overseas.
Our main activities include:
Promotion of Folk Music to the younger generation particularly in schools
Organize an annual Folk Music Marathon ( since 2005) in Hong Kong
In collaboration with a local Folk group Ching Wan (青韻), organize a monthly Folk Music night held on the first Saturday of every month
Organize fundraising Concerts for charity purposes when necessary
The Club is a registered society in Hong Kong since 2009 with currently , following committee members:
